Amy Schumer’s new memoir Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo has officially been released, and the comedian got pretty candid in it. Amy discussed some general funny stuff like things that she hates, but also disclosed her sex number, details about her mom leaving her dad, and the fact that she has a sex tape.
Apparently at one point Amy had thought her sex tape had been released, when she returned from a trip overseas and had a ton of messages from her publicist. She mentioned that she wasn’t worried about the sex tape, but when she returned the phone call she was instead hit with the news that there had been a shooting in a Louisiana theater where her film Trainwreck had been playing.
Amy also opened up about an abusive relationship that she had been in, and thankfully got out of.
“I think somewhere in the course of our relationship, I started to confuse his anger and aggression for passion and love. I actually started to think that real love was supposed to look like that. The more you yelled at each other, the more you loved each other. The more physical and demeaning it got, the more you were really getting through to each other. And the more I was willing to stand by him, the more he’d understand I truly loved him and that we should be together forever.”
