Apparently no one told Bella Thorne that her show Famous in Love might be getting cancelled. This week the actress tweeted her feelings towards the Freeform network.

“If this is how I find out our show is canceled..I’m going to be so upset. Very hurtful freeform. I woulda liked a phone call maybe.”

Sources have shared a couple of reasons for the sudden cancellation including whether Hulu will be offering the series more money for season three, as well as alleged personality clashes between Thorne and one of the producers.

However, reps from Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family) have since responded and said that no cancellation has been confirmed at this time. The show premiered in April of 2017 and is based on the novel of the same name written by name by Rebecca Serle. The series is produced by Dan Farah, Christopher Fife, Miguel Arteta, and I. Marlene King.

The series is about a college student who gets the chance to star in big-budget blockbuster movies and all the life complexities that follow. Thorne had expressed her interest in the character in the past.

“I relate to her in many ways. She gets caught up in this harsh world with the paparazzi and media and everything else, and struggles with how to handle it. It’s something I’ve dealt with and it’s hard,” she said. “I like that we see her whole way in.”

Bella Thorne started her career as a child model and acted in a few projects before landing her breakout role as CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up. The 20-year-old star is also a singer.
