There have been rumors for years that Beyonce and Jay Z have been working on an album together, and now reports say that that said album is complete. An insider has said that the album will be released as a TIDAL exclusive “very soon.”
They went on to say that the album is Jay Z and Beyonce’s way of addressing the rumors that swirl around their relationship, especially following the supposed Lemonade allegations.
“Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after LEMONADE. It’s more their style to respond through music.”
Neither Jay Z nor Beyonce or their reps have confirmed this news yet, but it has been discussed since DJ Skee first mentioned it in 2014.
Just this year the producer Detail said:
“I’m working with a couple of new projects that I don’t want to unveil, and then me and Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year. When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album.’ You should already know.”
This would not be the first time that the two collaborated since they have released songs together like “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Upgrade U,” but it would be the first time they did an entire album together.
