Currently, Jim Jarmusch is in upstate New York filming his zombie flick The Dead Don’t Die with Selena Gomez, Adam Driver, Chloë Sevigny, and Austin Butler. Just Jared recently obtained photos of Bill Murray on the set of the movie playing a police officer, along with pictures of Gomez and Butler, both drenched in blood. Earlier this year, Murray discussed the project with Philly.com.

“I’ve got a good job coming up. Brace yourself: It’s a zombie movie,” Murray commented in the interview. “Jim Jarmusch has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious and it has a cast of great actors … it shoots over the summer. But no, I will not play a zombie.”

Despite Murray’s comments and the photos obtained earlier this week, Jarmusch has not officially confirmed the project. Previously, Murray and Jarmusch worked together on Coffee and Cigarettes (2003) and Broken Flowers (2005). Jarmusch also worked with Driver on the 2016 movie Paterson.

The Dead Won’t Die is the second zombie movie Murray has worked on, the first being Zombieland (2009). His film credits also include working with the undead in both Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989).

This isn’t the first time Jarmusch has tackled the topic of the undead in his 2013 movie Only Lovers Left Alive, which starred Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin, Jeffrey Wright, Slimane Dazi, and John Hurt. At the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, the movie was nominated for the Palme d’Or award.

Since Jarmusch has yet to officially announce the movie, no plot details are available at this time.
