Carrie Underwood has broken her wrist after falling on some steps outside of her home. The country star was reportedly treated for multiple injuries in addition to the wrist break, which included scrapes and bruises.

Carrie’s husband, Mike Fisher, was out of town at the time but headed back to spend the night with her following the injury. Carrie’s rep stated that “her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes.”

Carrie tweeted about the incident, which caused her to miss a performance at Saturday’s Country Rising benefit show.

Other stars that performed at the event included Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire and Keith Urban. Carrie’s injury comes shortly after co-hosting the CMA awards for the tenth time. She was also nominated for female vocalist of the year. Carrie performed a tribute at the event for country stars who had passed away by singing a version of the hymn “Softly and Tenderly.”
