Chris Brown is continuing to claim innocence in the gun assault case that took place last week, and his lawyer is saying that he was set up.

The cops were called to Chris’ residence after former beauty queen Baylee Curran alleged that the singer had pulled a gun on her. The witness stories were mixed right from the start, and Chris claimed innocence from the first moment onward. Now he and his lawyer Mark Geragos say they have proof that Baylee tried to set him up. Supposedly there is a text message saying exactly that:

“This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend’s jewelry fake…I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson. I’m going to set his Ass up.”

On Tuesday a pre taped statement from Chris was aired on Good Morning America, where he said that his character has been defaced.

“I cannot wait till the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation. You know, because my character’s been defaced and who I am as a person and my integrity…I’m glad that all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and see the truth.”
