Divergent did not gain the film following that was expected from the popularity of the books, and the fourth and final installment in the series is going to be a TV movie instead of going to theaters at all. Now it is seems as though the original cast won’t be taking part in the project any longer.

Ansel Elgort who played Caleb in the film gave an interview where he implied that it was the end of the road for him, Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Miles Teller.

“It’s obviously sad because the cast all really liked each other, but hopefully we can all work together on a different project. I love Shailene and I love Theo and everyone else in the cast. I’ll miss [pause] we didn’t say our goodbyes because we were expecting to do another one together.”

He went on to say that he was interested to see how the TV adaption would go, but added “I don’t really know much about it to be honest. I just heard about it a couple days ago.”

Earlier in the week Shailene spoke out about it and did not completely shut down the possibility of joining, but that she needed to “talk and find out what the details are.”
