Over the weekend while Drake was doing a Kansas City show on his Summer Sixteen Tour, the rapper announced that he also has a new mixtape coming out soon.

He announced to the crowd:

“I want you to protect yourselves and each other. When I go and work on this new mixtape and I come back to Kansas City and I drop that shit, I wanna see everybody in this motherfu**er, boy!”

Some fans have been speculating that Drake is planning some future work with Gucci Mane, particularly after he has had some recent drama with Joe Budden. Meanwhile, Drake’s album Views is still topping the Billboard 200 chart for the 11th non consecutive week.

The album has spent the most time in the number one spot since Taylor Swift’s 1989 did in February of last year. The last album to go over eleven weeks was the Frozen soundtrack.

It was just announced that Drake will be one of the headliners at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival September 23 in Las Vegas. Other headliners will include U2, Drake, Britney Spears, and Sting.

This year the two day festival will also be working with the Global Citizen Festival to “harness the power of music to fight inequality, protect our planet and end extreme poverty by 2030.”
