The rumor mill went wild after Kendall Jenner was recently spotted court side at an LA Lakers game, cheering on 19-year-old rookie D’Angelo Russell. The couture model watched Russell’s team take on the Dallas Mavericks on November 1st.

It isn’t the first time that Kenny has rooted for the Lakers newbie either, she was reportedly seen at a few games over the summer.

The former Ohio State shooting guard was drafted by the Lakers after being named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year for the 2014-2015 season.

On June 25, 2015, Russell was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. He averaged 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in five Summer League games.

He made his official debut for the Lakers in the team’s season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 28th, recording 4 points and 3 rebounds.

Russell, like the international supermodel, is used to moving around. He actually grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where he attended high school for one year before transferring to another school in Montverde, Florida, to continue his budding basketball career. Then, D’Angelo moved to the midwest to attend Ohio State, and he now resides nearby to Jenner in California as he plays with the Lakers.

Another interesting fact is that Russell actually plays two positions while wearing the #1 jersey. On NBA.com, he’s listed as a guard because he serves as the shooting guard and the point guard for the LA team.
