Katy Perry has been announced as a judge on ABC’s revival of American Idol. The hit reality competition show previously aired on Fox for 15 seasons but was cancelled last year.
Katy tweeted about the news this week.

Ryan Seacrest recently shared that he would be open to hosting the show again. He mentioned this on air of his newest endeavour, co-hosting Live with Kelly & Ryan alongside Kelly Ripa.
Former judges on American Idol included Simon Cowell, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Harry Conick Jr, Steven Tyler, Paula Abdul, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, and Mariah Carey.
