Meek Mill has reportedly violated his probation recently by attending the American Music Awards, and if convicted he could be facing jail time.
The rapper is on probation stemming from a gun and drug conviction that happened back in 2009. He was reportedly not allowed to leave Philadelphia without obtaining a travel voucher from November 1 onwards, but he did make an appearance at the AMA’s on November 22, where he was snapped sitting by girlfriend Nicki Minaj’s side.
Meek will appear in court on Thursday morning about the violation. This is not the first time that Meek has violated his probation, nor is it the first time he would face jail time for doing so if he was convicted. The rapper also violated his probation last year and he went to jail for a couple months.
In other Meek Mill news, the rumor mill is circulating that Meek and Nicki Minaj may have made their engagement final with buzz that the two had gotten engaged. Nicki posted a photo on Wednesday with a rather large sparkler on her engagement finger with the caption “Now this is what I’m talking about baby. Lol.”
This isn’t the first time that the two have hinted at marriage, however. In April Nicki posted a photo of herself wearing a heart shaped yellow diamond ring, and she has also referred to Meek as her “baby father” during a concert.
In Thursday’s Billboard year-end cover story Nicki stated:
“He and I are not engaged. But he said he would like to give me three rings before we get married. My birthday’s coming up and he better get the new one, because he got (the first one) for my last birthday. So let’s see what happens.”
The star celebrated her 33rd birthday last Monday.
