Megan Fox has long been known as a woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Throughout her career, she’s never hesitated to stir up some drama. Whether it’s her (pretty righteous) claims of sexism against Michael Bay or her (less righteous) claims that her talent has gone unrewarded, Fox is always one to channel her experience into passionate public statements. This time around, the mother of two is offering some tips for proper parenting.

Yesterday, the star of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, explained why she isn’t bringing her kids to work with her (beyond the fact that it’s inappropriate). Fox has decided to keep her kids off the set because of an incident that occurred when she brought her oldest son, Noah, to the set of the original TMNT. According to Fox, her son, “tripped over a wire and busted open his lip, so I’ve never brought my kids back to set.”

Today, the parent had some advice for all parents out there: get your kids off social media ASAP. Admittedly, it’s not bad advice. If not properly monitored, social media has the potential to have a destructive mind-numbing influence on our youth.

“When I was on Twitter for five days, I would have 12- and 13-year-old kids going, ‘If you don’t follow me back, I am going to kill myself.’ I was like this is [expletive] awful,” the 29-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight. “Parents should pay attention to that and have your kids off of it. You’re not ready for that [expletive] when you’re a teenager. You need to be an adult before you can start messing around with that. It’s irresponsible and it’s dangerous.”

Again, good advice from Fox.
