Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to spend Christmas with the queen. Queen Elizabeth II’s Christmas celebration will be held at her 20,000-acre Sandringham estate. The celebration is traditionally just for the royals and their spouses. Kate Middleton wasn’t invited when she was just engaged to William, so Meghan’s invite is a pretty big deal.

After the Christmas celebration, Meghan and Harry reportedly have plans to take a solo vacation “for more than a week.” Although Meghan has already moved out of her Toronto apartment, the former actress is reportedly visiting family in her hometown of L.A. at the moment.

Meghan and Harry have been able to spend more time together than they could at the beginning of their relationship. While Meghan lived in Toronto and Harry lived in London the two did travel to see each other, but since they were trying to keep their relationship under wraps they had to be pretty quiet about their whereabouts. They reportedly spent a lot of time video chatting while they were dating to stay connected. But Harry has explained that he knew she was the one from the moment that he met her. (And some sources say that he had an interest in the actress even before they were introduced by a mutual friend.)

The two have plans to marry in May at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. They surely have lots to plan to prepare for the wedding, but they have already started mentioning some of their specific interests. For one thing, the couple is reportedly planning on getting a banana flavored wedding cake.
