Meghan Markle is one of few non-British people to marry into the royal family, but now it has been announced that the former actress will become a U.K. citizen after she marries Prince Harry. A spokesperson from the royal family shared the announcement and said that it’s “too early” to know if she’ll keep dual citizen.

On Monday it was officially announced that Meghan and Harry were engaged after high speculation that it would be coming soon. The couple stepped out at Kensington Palace to answer some questions about the engagement and Harry said that he knew she was the girl for him “the very first time we met.”

In other details, so far we know that Harry proposed to Meghan over a chicken dinner with a personally significant ring and that the May wedding will be held at Windsor Castle. The royal family will be footing the bill for things such as the church service, the music, the flowers, and the reception following the ceremony. The last time that St George’s Chapel was used for a royal wedding was in 2008 when Harry’s cousin Peter Phillips married Autumn Kelly. The royal family has also announced that in addition to becoming a U.K. citizen, Markle will also be baptized into the Church of England.

The couple will be living in the Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace. Meghan recently moved out of her Toronto apartment and took her leave from the TV show Suits that she starred on the past few years. The two recently started talking more about how they met. They still won’t reveal who introduced them but said that it was a setup. For their first date they met for a drink, and on their second trip, they went on a camping trip in Botswana.
