Oprah has officially ruled out any chance of her running for president in the 2020 election. The 64-year-old opened up in a recent interview with British Vogue and explained that doing so would “kill” her.

“In that political structure — all the non-truths, the bullsh*t, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on — I feel like I could not exist. I would not be able to do it. It’s not a clean business. It would kill me.”

Many suspected that she was going to run in the next election after she gave an impassioned speech while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. In the speech she said that “a new day is on the horizon” which seemed to hint at a run. However, it seems that this is not so. But being who she is, she’ll probably be creating and providing plenty of wonderful things throughout that time regardless of who is president.

She also spoke to British Vogue about the #MeToo movement and how the times are changing:

“People talk about ‘these are such dark times’, but what if we shift the paradigm? Because I see it differently. I see, ‘Isn’t this remarkable that we’re waking up?’ For years, women have endured craziness. This is what’s happening to people. They’re allowing themselves to not just become corroded, but to become hysterical. You’ve got to lean to the happiness.”

Oprah added that attending the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May left her “feeling that anything is possible through the power of love.”

The magazine and the full interview will be released on July 6.
