Every once in a while a celebrity will hit the red carpet in what appears to be a bare face, but can that be? Not generally. Celebs like Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, and Jennifer Lawrence frequently rock this look. But they’ve also just got some awesome makeup artists.
Nude lipstick is one way to do it. It’s not obvious that there’s color there but it can still be used to subtly add color to the face. Padma Lakshmi’s makeup artist Nick Barose suggest using one with “A hint of sheen so it’s not matte and pasty, with a tad of color like peach or pink in it.”
Olga Kurlenko’s makeup artist Nick Barose suggest misting the face with a product like Avene Thermal Spring Water. “A spritz adds a natural dewiness and helps blend makeup together so it’s seamless.”
Blush is generally good to warm up the cheek area, but going with a color like lemon can make sure that the whole thing looks natural and not overdone. A good option is Jouer Tint in Poppy.
