The FBI has officially released a statement about the child abuse allegations that are being held against Brad Pitt. Shortly after the news that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad, a story broke that he had become “verbally abusive and physical” with some of his children while drunk on a private plane.

However while it was initially reported that the LAPD was involved, they later claimed that they were not. Who did get involved was the Department of Children and Family Services, but “after interviewing both [Brad and Angelina], they let them go.”

The FBI has now released their own response in regards to the matter, since the incident was under their jurisdiction as the plane was in the air at the time of the incident, not on Los Angeles turf.

“In response to your inquiry regarding allegations within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States; specifically, an aircraft carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued.”

A source elaborated on the FBI’s involvement.

“They did take the complaint at the tarmac after someone had anonymously called from the air. The investigation is still ongoing, and he knows he is being investigated. He does not believe he committed abuse.”
