All footage was kindly provided by Scandinava. Check out Scandinava’s website here: www.scandinava.ru. Using innovative techniques and real props, Scandinava, once again, makes the live image seem as if it were CG. These shots were created for a independent short film in the style of the classic movie “Aliens.” Using a collectors edition model of the famous “sulaco” spaceship from “Aliens,” it was shot layer by layer using camera mounted on a Kuka arm, preserving the common trajectory and then merging into a single shot. The shots took one day of preparation, two days of shooting and two days post-production. The results are flawless.
