We bet that it’s difficult to maintain a strong sense of faith while living in Hollywood due to the constant temptations and sinning taking place in the “City of Angels.” However, we’ve found 10 celebrities who are Mormon. Some stars still practice regularly, while others are more lapsed but continue to uphold to certain moral standards instilled in them through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Imagine Christina Aguilera arriving at your doorstep with a pamphlet on Mormonism. Would you convert?

1. Shawn King

Larry King’s seventh wife, Shawn Southwick, is a devout Mormon. Southwick attended Brigham Young University and is close friends with another proud and vocal member of the Church, Marie Osmond. Larry often attends Church with his wife and the couple has agreed that their two sons, Chance and Cannon, will be raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, although Larry himself is an agnostic Jew.

2. Paul Walker

The late Fast and Furious star was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but stopped practicing a few years before his death. Following his death on November 2013, Walker’s body was cremated and his ashes were buried in a non-denominational ceremony in the Hollywood Hills.

3. Aaron Eckhart

The Olympus Has Fallen actor was born in Cupertino, California and grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When Eckhart was a child he served a two-year LDS mission in France and Switzerland. Aaron attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Today, however, he’s unsure if it’s fair to call himself a Mormon stating, “I’m sure people think I’m a Mormon, but I don’t know that I’m a Mormon anymore, you know? To be honest, to be perfectly clear, I’d be a hypocrite if I did say that I was, just because I haven’t lived that lifestyle for so many years.”

4. Christina Aguilera

Although Aguilera, like many other celebrities, no longer attends church regularly, she was raised in a Mormon household. Aguilera, who was born in Staten Island, claims her parents met while attending Brigham Young University and both shared a strong faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, Christina’s parents divorced when she was seven and it is unclear if she was ever actually baptized into the Church.

5. David Archuleta

David Archuleta became one of the youngest contestants on the seventh season of American Idol back in 2007. He finished second in the competition and has since released three albums, all which have done well. Archuleta took a break from music in 2012 to be a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile.

6. Glenn Beck

The ultra-conservative television and radio host, political commentator and media personality was raised Roman Catholic in Mount Vernon, Washington. However, Beck began a “spiritual quest” in 1994 following a near suicidal experience. His friend, Pat Gray, introduced him to the Mormon church, but Beck rejected the religion at first. Then, when Beck met his second wife in 1999, the pair began a search for a new faith together. Beck eventually joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1999. Beck has since produced at film entitled, An Unlikely Mormon: The Conversion Story of Glenn Beck, which follows his religious journey.

7. Jewel

The singer-songwriter was born in Payson, Utah, but was raised in Homer, Alaska by her Mormon father. The home she grew up in did not have indoor plumbing, just a simple outhouse instead. Jewel and her father would often make money in the Alaskan wilderness by singing at local taverns and pubs. Jewel says she and her father stopped attending church when she was eight.

8. Amy Adams

Amy was raised Mormon but admits that her family left the LDS church following her parent’s divorce. Adams notes however, that she was happy with her religious upbringing, saying it “… instilled in me a value system I still hold true. The basic ‘Do unto others…’ that was what was hammered into me. And love.”

9. Katherine Heigl

Heigl spoke about her conservative religious upbringing in an interview with Vanity Fair. The actress said that her family’s faith is what helped them pull through after she lost her 7-year-old brother in a car accident. Katherine said, “I give the Mormon church a lot of credit for helping [us] do that.” Today, Heigl says, “I haven’t been an actively practicing Mormon in years, I satisfy my vices instead of fighting them. I love being a sinner.” We’ve heard about her ungodly ways from fellow co-stars.

10. Julianne Hough

Siblings Julianne and Derek Hough were both raised under The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sandy, Utah. Julianne notes that she’s not as active in the church today as she used to be, but is thankful for the way she was brought up. The professional dancer said, “I had morals and standards instilled in me as a kid. The church has taught me great life lessons.”
