6. Making a Murderer
When it was initially released, the ten-part documentary Making a Murderer was a sensation. A look at the case of Steven Avery and the issue of his guilt or innocence in the murder of Teresa Halbach. The story of a justice system set on taking down Avery makes for some pretty compelling drama. While you’ll want to do some personal research to get the whole story, Making a Murderer is a compelling (and frightening) look at the ways the justice system can be corrupted.
