Lindsay Lohan Says Her Party Girl Past Is ‘Dead’

According to Lindsay Lohan, all elements of her party girl past are long gone. The actress spoke out about it in an interview with the New York Times this week. Lohan discussed what she’s up to now, part of which includes owning a beach club in Greece.

“There’s a business side to my life now, but I’m not in America, so no one knows about it, which is nice for me. Because I get to actually focus on the result of things. I’m a normal, nice person. A good person. I don’t have any bad intentions. And my past has to stay in the past. Like, people have to just let go of it and stop bringing it up because it’s not—it’s gone. It’s dead. And that’s the most important thing to me.”

She goes onto explain that she was pushed into finding a new level of peace in her life after her former fiancé, Russian socialite Egor Tarabasov, was caught on tape assaulting her. The incident occurred on a beach in Mykonos, and in that moment she decided it was time to take her control back. She ended up doing so in a pretty big way.

“That was the moment where I switched and I was like, ‘I’m going to take control of my life completely, and fire everyone and just rehire them when I’m ready.’ And that’s why I’m here today, because it was on that beach where I got hit. I said, ‘You know what? If there’s anything I can do, I’m going to get that beach. It’s going to be my beach.'”

Lohan is aware of the reputation that she has, but feels like she has figured out how to have her own version of success.

“I think success is the best revenge—and silence, as a presence. When I chose to change my future, my life, I was like, ‘Where’s the one place I can find silence?'”

Lohan started acting at a very young age and ended up having a tumultuous version of young fame. She was one of the most notorious party girls in Hollywood and had trouble with the law on a few different occasions. She had multiple hospital visits and rehab stints due to her behavior, and had some trouble remaining employable as an actress throughout the midst of her partying ways. Looks like the 31-year-old is an entirely new place in her life.
