Police later recovered the car at an apartment complex but did not catch the actual thieves. According to the police report, there were lemonade and fruit punch bottles left behind when the car was found.

This is actually not the first time that Queen Latifah has had a car stolen. Once in Harlem 22 years ago she was in a hijacking situation that left her bodyguard wounded with a gunshot. Two teenagers named Rashin Fortune and Ricardo Rodriguez were charged in the incident and sentenced with attempted murder.
